How big can I print my photo? Click here to view
The largest size we offer as standard is 40 x 60 inches (102cm x 152cm) however if you need to go larger, let us know and well se what we can do. When deciding on the size you want you must also consider the dpi (dots per inch). As a rule of thumb, the bigger the image the less detailed it will be, luckily most modern cameras take photos well above the minimum requirement. Try our image calculator to see the size recommendations we suggest for your photo. In order to ensure your satisfaction, we dont accept anything less than 100 dpi. (Unsure about DPI? Learn More).
Heres a little more detail if you are still unsure The resolution of an image is measured by how many dots can be printed in one square inch of canvas. A good guide line for determining the largest size your image can be printed is to divide the pixel height and width of your image by 100.
For example if your image is 1024 pixels by 768 pixels, then the maximum recommended size it can be printed at is 10.24 inches by 7.68 inches. Any size below this will avoid pixellation (where the individual pixels are visible) on the canvas print. All clear? If not then drop us an email on photos@bluehorizonprinting.com.au or call us.

Customers can choose from our archival poly-cotton 430gsm canvas or the 100% cotton 390gsm canvas. We only use the best quality canvas with our poly-cotton canvas being carefully selected and imported to provide the best surface for our prints. When you order you can select poly-cotton or 100% cotton, the difference is that poly-cotton makes for a smoother, longer lasting, water proof canvas whereas 100% looks slightly more rough and a bit more classical. *More information.

Our laminates are carefully selected to maximise protection and keep colours rich while minimising any unwanted glossy sheen that are the results of cheaper laminate. Many canvas printers will skip this step to avoid paying for quality laminates and cut drying time. We have so much faith in the necessity to have good laminate that we include it free within the price. *More information. *zoom to laminates section on photos on canvas page

Most marks can be easily removed by running a duster over the canvas or giving it a light clean with the vacuum cleaner using the brush to get rid of any dust on the surface. If the mark is still there then you can wipe the canvas gently using a plain white wet cloth, try not to do this too often though as with time this will affect the colour quality of the canvas.
